ADVANCED 5KM PLAN
The advanced 5km program, developed by Alex Maycock, is for those with a higher starting fitness level and experience.
Alexander Maycock is an MSc in Kinesiology candidate and an NCCP Coach with over a decade of high-performance cross-country skiing and middle distance running experience. He earned a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education from Nipissing University between 2017 and 2021 as a dual-sport Varsity Student-Athlete in Nordic Skiing and Cross Country Running. He represented Canada at the 2019 FISU Winter World Student Games in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and has been named to Team Canada for the 2021 Games in Lucerne, Switzerland. He has completed numerous coaching and exercise prescription courses at Nipissing University and through NCCP. He is passionate about exercise and supporting others towards achieving their goals! He wishes participants happy, healthy training for their October race!
